Predestination (2014)
Director: Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig as The Spierig Brothers
Genre: Drama, Mystery, Sci-fi
The first time when I searched for Mind Blowing movies that can leave you wondering what just happened, I came to a list and one of them was Predestination. With IMDB rating of 7.5% and Rotten tomatoes rating of 84%, it is one of those must watch movies that blows your mind.
Sypnosis: Ethan Hawke plays as the temporal agent who must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout the time. He must go back in time more than once to pursue the criminal and bring him to justice. This chase becomes unique with twist and turnings of life, love and time travel taboos.
The movie starts with scenes that make you wonder what is going on and as the movie progresses with narration, you won't have time to get distracted. Every scene is perfectly timed and captured to bring a sense of mystery to the viewer to make the viewer wonder what is going to happen the next. And well, I am not going to talk about what is going to happen at the end because its for you to find out. Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook has played their role exceptionally well with Noah Taylor coming in from time to time to act as a boss. The dark cinematography has added more than the required flavor in the movie. Moreover the sound tracks used in the movie tends to blend into the mystery that it wants to provide and get in the heartbeat of the viewer.
In the end, this movie is a must watch from me and has left as well as many viewers in amazement. I am still trying to figure out what happened and I may have to watch a few more times to comprehend the whole movie itself.
