About Video:

Acids and bases are commonly encountered substances in our daily life which also act as important constituents for life.  Stomach acid or chemically known as hydrochloric acid is an acid and cooking soda or chemically named as sodium bicarbonate is a base.

In this video, we learn about pH and its relation with acid and base.  pH is logarithmic scale measurement of hydrogen concentration.  That means changing the value of pH by 1 results in changing the hydrogen concentration of the substance by 10 times.  pH value and acidity of a substance are inversely related.  The more pH value, the less acidic a substance becomes and the less pH value, the more acidic a substance becomes.
